New lens!Reffering to my previous journal entry: I finally made up my mind about the zoom lens I wanted to buy. Yesterday I went back, asked for another K10D body with the right software installed, and tried both lenses, the Sigma on the other body and the Tamron on my own. This way I could finally compare the two and I planned to buy the Tamron if I'd chose that one, or otherwise send my camera to Pentax after my holidays and then buy the Sigma.
Although I liked the AF on the Sigma better (silent and faster than Tamron) that lens was too big for me to hold. I have such small hands, really hate it most of the time!

While holding a camera with the Sigma on, I kept being scared that it would fall. I just couldn't get my hand around the lens. So in the end I chose the Tamron, which, don't get me wrong, I also really like.

I could hold that one much better and the focus- and zoom ring were more logical to me. On the Sigma, I had to use so much power to turn them that I thought I was doing something wrong...
Anyway, I'm really happy with my new lens, although I haven't even tried it (except in the camera store of course).
Olympus SP-510 UZ Today I woke up with a terrible headache and that's why I haven't used it yet. I did take some pictures today (latest three in my gallery) but they were taken with my old camera! Yesterday I found out that it still works! I've tried several things, and one of them was trying 12 different batteries but I didn't work with any of them. Now I found out that it's my battery charger that doesn't work anymore. Stupid me.
Anyway, my old Olympus can make great macro pics (for a compact camera) and I'll use that one until I actually buy a macro lens. That will be my next lens I think, but I'll wait some time before I buy it... I spent quite a lot on the new Tamron.
My loveAnd the last 4 days I really missed Stefan, my boyfriend. He's in America for two weeks and the day he returns, I will leave for my own holidays, so I can't see him for a full month. He was already gone on the day we were together for 1,5 year.

By the way, he's on deviantart too: ~
Vallidius, although he's not really active here. He's a great drawer, so I hope he'll upload some of his work.

My study takes a lot of time (I'm currently studying at university) but it's very interesting so I don't really care about the time I have to spend on it.
And how are you doing? I visited your account a few times but there were no new deviations so I figured you quit photographing or at least uploading them to dA. I'm going to check our your new gallery now!

I'd like to think I've improved somewhat, but I'm not spending as much time on photography as I wish I could.
What are you studying?

I'll study physics though, I do know that. Which is a start, I suppose

I always liked physics too but I didn't really see myself studying it or having a career in it. Have fun I'd say, and I hope you'll not regret your choice!
